Everyone has a different idea of what wedding videography is, and many videographers do things differently.

We’ve answered some of your questions to clear things up.

FAQs

How do I choose a wedding videographer?

When choosing a wedding videographer, you’ll want to consider their style and experience, along with how they communicate and provide information during your research phase. It’s important you’ll be able to have a clear understanding of the services offered, as well as feel comfortable with who you’ll be with on your wedding day.

Our style is timeless and elegant, using realistic colors and no gimmicky effects. We’re approaching a decade of wedding videography experience and have the ability to make your wedding film exceptional. We wrote a blog post that may help you choose the right videographer for you.

How does booking work?

After you’ve had a chance to check out some of our work and you think we look like a great fit, you can use the contact form here to get in touch. We’ll reply back with availability and specific wedding videography package information. Sometimes couples prefer to continue via email and others want to jump on a phone call or FaceTime. We’re happy to do what works for you to discuss your wedding vision and answer any questions about videography. Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send you a contract to sign and you can make your retainer payment. The day is officially booked - it’s that easy! Once we get closer to the wedding, we will meet again to talk through specific details, including the timeline.

How do you choose the music for our wedding film?

The music used in your wedding film is SO IMPORTANT. We choose music that best fits your wedding film and accurately reflects the feeling and emotions of your wedding day. For example, if we hear you come down the aisle to an acoustic-folk-style song, we'll use a piece in your film from the same genre.

We want to choose songs you will enjoy hearing 30 years later while watching your wedding film. We also license the music we use (it's illegal if we don't), meaning most mainstream music is unavailable or unattainably expensive for a wedding film. Not using mainstream music is beneficial because you have new songs that aren't attached to past feelings, preconceived ideas, or previous associations.

How much does wedding videography cost?

For area weddings, our packages start at $3000. There are a variety of options for tailoring your wedding package to your day that adjusts what it costs, but this is the starting point. Destination weddings and elopements require a custom quote based on the details.

Do you record the ceremony only?

We do offer a film of the ceremony in its entirety, but this is an add-on only to our wedding film packages. Sometimes we are able to make exceptions if your wedding is on a week day Sunday-Friday, so get in touch if this is you.

Do you need a shot list?

We love to hear what you want captured, but we don’t need a specific shot list. Your job is to get married - we will worry about the shots! When we meet prior to your wedding, we’ll discuss all of the key moments you want captured along with any specific details. But you definitely do not need to provide a shot-by-shot list.

Do you work with photographers?

Yes! We absolutely love all of our photographer friends! We work closely on your wedding day with your photographer. We’ve worked with many different photographers and are happy to say we get along great!
